Went out and lost something!

New boat, "Little Kolo". It's a 27 foot Defiance pilothouse. Had it out a few times already but haven't caught much. First trip to Catalina was Feb. 26. We used live squid and caught 3 halibut, 15-20 inches and a 4-5 pound sheepshead which were all released of course! Hooked something nice but lost it after a short fight. :Evil: Next trip was last Sunday, 14th. We tried for rockfish by the outer oil rigs off Long Beach. Fished from 350-550 feet and caught nothing! Current was strong. It was hard to stay on the bottom even with 3 pounds of lead. Hopefully weather warms up soon and fish start biting!
