clip the front hook off your crank bait, so you are only running the tail hook. replace the tail hook with a size 1 to 3 treble hook. take a clump of powerbait and cover your treble completely. you can still catch heavy weeds on the nose of your crankbait, but you will lose a lot less lures in cover.
