Big Bear Lake Updates?

Anyone been to big bear lately? Hows the trout bite?

I'm hoping to get out there tomorrow and see if I can find some water that isn't frozen over.

Got out there on Sunday and found some water that wasn't frozen in my usual area. Caught one but that was the only bite/fish from about 4 hours of fishing. Didn't see anyone else catch anything around me. Someone that was there said they also fished Saturday and caught a few, but they were skunked Sunday when they left.

Lot's of open water, beautiful weather.

Hypothetically speaking if I was to be in big bear this weekend and all I had was a bass rod and a pocket full of robo worms, senkos and various styles of hooks and weights where and how would be my best bet to catch a "green trout"?
my first thought was the rocks of the doughnut or one of the small jetties. I'll be on foot....
