Just got a new boat and took my son out to Perris last weekend for a little bass fishing. While we were there I was telling him how I want to catch some crappie because I have heard they are really good eating. Now he is very much into the idea of eating something he caught. If I wanted to try and catch some crappie, or any other panfish really this weekend does anyone have advice on where to start? I mostly bass fish so this is a kind of new topic for me and I feel out of my depth.
Blue Gill hang out in basically the same areas as the LMB. Pick up some crickets, they can be bought at the liquor store about a mile from the lake.
Correct. Much easier to catch bluegill at Perris than crappie unless you're a dialed in crappie fisherman. I've caught huge ones while bass fishing by accident, but every time I try to target them.....Zippo nadaQuote:
