Lake Ida at Camp Whitsett

This is a fishing report from an Ocean Kayak. I kayaked Lake Ida, that is in Camp Whitsett up above California Hot Springs, 3 mile north of Johnsondale. We went up there for a church camp and the camp had OK kayaks. I caught 4 rainbows and the biggest one was about 18-20 inches and I would guess, 3 lbs. I caught the fish on a swim bait, pearl white color. I cast out in the middle of the lake, towards the shore and around the docks. I only had about 4-5 hours to fish. Overall, great weekend of camping, fishing and praising the Man Above. :UDaMan:

On a separate note, that is one heck of a Boy Scout camp. Big thumbs up to the Los Angeles Scout Organization that owns it.
