Striper King Classic 3 at Diamond Valley Lake
Returning for our 3rd year, the Striper King Classic 3 is a charity event, benefitting Valley-Wide Recreation & Parks District of San Jacinto/Hemet and the Wounded Warriors. The event will be held on September 28, 2013 from 6:00am-2:30pm at Diamond Valley Lake in the Hemet/Temecula area.
The charity event has several fun activities for everyone:
1. Striper Tournament- Great prize packages for 6 different categories. For the kids and rookie striper angler's, we've added (2) new categories for you. We've added the "Blind Bogey" and a Sponsor Line Challenge that anyone can win. The "Blind Bogey" will be a mystery weight that is determined by our sponsor, which typically is a lower number, so a smaller size striper could win the prize. The Sponsored Line Challenge is catching the biggest striper on their line, but proof of purchase will be required (sponsor line spool or recent receipt).
2. Super Raffle- This raffle is one of the most anticipated one's in Southern California! Our fabulous sponsors (located at the bottom of the event flyer), have donated thousands of dollars of fabulous prizes. From Mammoth Lakes and Big Bear luxury vacation packages to the hottest fishing accessories, this raffle definitely is Super! Proceeds of the Super Raffle go to Valley-Wide.
3. "Live" Pro Guide Auction- Five of the top pro guides have donated their services to assist in raising money for Valley-Wide. The auction takes place on the Striper King Classic Facebook page. This year, we are pleased to announce that Mr. Pete Marino, of Pete Marino Guide Service, will be part of the pro guide auction. 100% of the money raised via the auction goes to Valley-Wide.
4. Wounded Warriors- Bass Pro Shops/Toyota are partnering to sponsor over 40 Warriors for a fun day of fishing on the water. They are creating the first Warrior Competition, where Warrior pontoon boats will be competing against eachother to see which boat catches the most stripers.
This should be a fabulous event this year, we are hoping that you can support our charities and win some great prize packages. Check out our Striper King Classic Facebook page for day to day updates and the "Live" Pro Guide Auction.
Many thanks,
Barry

Everybody Has a Chance to Win!
For this year's Striper King Classic 3, we want everyone to have a chance to win!
We added (2) different categories that have nothing to do with the largest striper caught. Here are the categories:
1. "Blind Bogey" competition- A mystery weight that is determined by the sponsor. The closest striper caught to this weight will win the prize package. Typically, this weight is on the lower end of the spectrum. Everybody that weighs in a striper has a chance!
2. Sponsored line challenge- If you catch a striper on the sponsors line, and it happens to be the largest striper caught using that line, you will win the prize package. Note: Proof of purchase is required, which includes showing sponsors line spool or current receipt of sale.
The Striper King Classic 3 is less than 4 weeks away. Good luck to all and we'll see you on the water.

"THANK YOU" TO ALL OF OUR SPONSOR'S, WARRIOR'S AND STAFF FOR MAKING THE STRIPER KING CLASSIC 3 A SUCCESS!
Thanks Bob Minor, GM of Bass Pro Shops (Rancho Cucamonga) and Frank Arena, of Toyota Motor Sales USA, for your tireless efforts and sponsoring our Warriors! You gentlemen made it all happen. I don't think you gentlemen ever said "No" to anything that we wanted!
Thanks Bob Hoose of Pure Fishing, for basically sponsoring the "Super Raffle" and more and just being a great guy! Bob personally made sure that our raffle was full of Berkley top-shelf fishing equipment.
From these major corporations to the smaller independent tackle shops, we thank Kent Sliger of Bluewater Tackle, Megan Merchant of Last Chance B&T, and Darin Dohi of Seeker Rods. We thank our other generous sponsors, you know who you are!
We thank Ben Maple, a Warrior himself, for coordinating the entire Warrior boat competition. Our goal was to make sure the Warriors had a fantastic experience at the SKC. Thanks Ben, I know I threw a lot of material at you, but you did it!
Lastly, our hardworking SKC volunteer staff worked their tails off. Thanks Elizabeth, Katie, Hiroko, Gregg, Mike, Frank, Tanner and Kewly. I'm humbled and honored to work with you all! Well done!
