Year of the Skunk

Hi y'all. Yesterday was my seventh time fishing this year and the seventh time comi)g back empty handed handed. I have fished approximately 12-16 hours. Luckily I have not seen anyone else catch anything. Lol. Anyway it has been nice getting out there. I am still in search of the perfect jerkbait but the Lucky Craft surf rod (8'3 mh 16-20 lb test) rod is damn close (unfortunately mine came with a chipped guide insert which frayed my line but am getting a new one shipped out). Also, waders make such a difference. I have been doing this for over 10 years in trunks and got my first waders a few days ago, wow! Best purchase ever.

Hopefully thinks pick up as the water warms up. Good luck this year y'all.
