    I know this is late........ but maybe next time you go you might try the Yuba River. Head east out of Yuba City on hwy 20 and drive maybe 15 milrs of so. Were hwy 20 crosses over the Yuba is a good place to fish. If you cross over the bridge, theres a rough road that goes down stream for a while, maybe a couple of miles for access. And, if you turn around at the bridge and go back 4 miles, theres Sycamore Campground where you can park close to the river and fish there. The Yuba has some nice fish in it, including king salmon that your not supposed to fish for, and some steelhead. The river has good hatches, of mayflies, caddis and golden stoneflies. Check it out sometime, it's worth a try.
