WIDE OPEN Calico bite on the east end of Catalina Sunday! Fished the east end from 7am to 12 Sunday morning and landed 50+ Calicos up to 5lbs. All released but a few that didn't make it. Will post pics. Going back out Friday night!
Welcome new members! Just got back from Alaska with 400lbs of Halibut, 50lbs of Salmon & 50lbs of Rock fish. Looks like we'll be having a fishy bbq very soon.

Thanks for joining troutdog! I'm fishing the big bear troutfest in Oct. I'm not a huge trout fishermen so I was wondering what's the best method in catch good sized trout? Trolling lead core, flashers or what? Any qdvice would be greatly appreiciated!
I think trolling is your best bet....I am going to make a call to a well respected and knowledgeable trout fisherman on this board that fished the May event and hooked some HUGE fish. I'll get back to you.....I may just PM you the info. It may cost you a halibut fillet though! TD

troutdog, let me know and you'll get some nice filets! Robert, post that pic for the club! Halibut filets to any good/productive Trout fishing advice! If your info proves to be unproductive I will have to take the fish back so there will be a 30 days waiting period to eat the fish. Just kidding. I actually had 12, 50lbs boxes, so my buddy & I ended up bringing home 600lbs of fish!
I made a second one with a more visible crosshair and filled in the white area with more blue should look alot better
