I have a 16' Delta Aluminum Skiff for sale with a Tohatsu 25hp two stroke motor. The boat is not in pristine shape but it is a nice solid welded hull that has had quite a bit of work done to it. The boat has a bait tank with a cutting board top under the middle seat which is not plumbed to recirculate water but has two battery operated air bubblers. The boat includes a painted trailer that is in almost new condition, a Humminbird fish finder and a bilge pump. The motor runs nice and has had a tuneup, including new water pump, thermostat, rebuilt carb, new plugs and a new prop. I'll try to get some pictures up here. I'm asking $2,000 or best offer. The boat is in Reseda. (818) 212-4495

Well, I did Register in June and I didn't sign up to sell a boat then. I can understand your suspicion but I assure you, I haven't broken any policy in my first post, lol. I'm not a boat seller though I've owned quite a few. I like fishing and boats and can't really help being obsessed. That boat was listed on Craigslist for the past couple of months and just fell off two days ago without hardly a nibble. It is registered in my name at my home address as is the trailer. So here I am waiting for a lucky fish to bite, I guess that's true.

Thanks for the greeting anyway. My phone number is in the post if you have any further questions Mr. 277. :D

Don't mean to be rude but you've got to be kidding asking that much for a rather beat up old boat. Any biters would be :bang:

How much without the motor (just boat and trailer)?

Hey guys, I'd sell for much less in fact I've lowered the price to $2,000 on craigslist to try to move it. This is a true 16' boat, yes it is beat up a bit but a good sized fishing boat and a solid welded well built hull at that. All of the seat tops have been replaced with marine grade plywood and outdoor carpeting and they are large seats. I have $2,500 into this boat my self plus proper work done to the motor to make it last. You have to take into account scale when looking at these pictures. This is not a small 12 or 14 footer. The previous owner launched this boat off Gaviota and fished the salt with it though that's pushing it a bit IMO with a 15" transom, unless you really know what your doing weather wise which he did. Thanks.

I hate to separate sweetfish but I'd sell for $1,200. I know I could sell a 25hp Tohatsu pretty easily. The previous owner had a 20 Honda on it which would be a great combo. I wouldn't put less than 15hp on this boat.

Thanks for the info. I have an 1985 bass tracker and was looking for another boat for my brother. The lakes around me have to be 4 stroke and is the reason why I was asking without motor. I may be interested in it still and will PM.

Thanks guys, the cammo was done by the previous owner and is your garden variety Krylon. Not recommended for bare aluminum but I figure the reason it is sticking so well is from gold ole aluminum oxidation. I was going to paint it with a solid color because I don't like the cammo thing that much. It would be easy enough, last ok and could be easily touched up. I mean, it's a fishing boat for crying out loud. 8)

Even if you don't count the boat, the near new trailer and sparsely used 25hp outboard are worth $1,700. The boat is a 1987 by the way. Man, tough crowd.

No one ever hardly gets asking price when selling their boat. I hope you get something close to what your asking for.

An item for sale is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Winter may not be the best time to sell your boat. I hope you sell it for what you want for it.

SeaHonk,
Shame on U, it's none of ur business why people join FNN, did U ever read the laws when joining?
Whats nice about this site is you can go anywhere here from Northern Calif. to the Classics ads., and state your opinions.
Be nice for a change

It is impossible to tell the exact year of a 1980's Tohatsu from the model or serial number unfortunately but it is late 80's. The motor was bought separately from the boat and hadn't been used in over 10 years and lightly before that. It's funny how people won't buy a cheap boat in So Cal in December. Some good fishing can be had 365 days a year here. You do have to suffer a bit in the morning though!
