Yeah, lol, it was crazy, was using really light tackle targeting the areas around the bridges Halibut Hunting and BAM!!!! Full bendo on the rod and took me for a ride….. spooled me twice, some how get’em back to the boat and it takes off again going under the boat….. hahahaha, was a riot trying not to break him off but finally wore’em out and was able to get a net on him, quick easy hook remove but it didn’t survive the fight for release.
What an incredible fightin fish and blinding fast, had the drag on that spinning reel down as tight as I could get it, didn’t matter, Zzzzzzzzzzz at will…..
