Wadeing boots

I'm interested in copping some boots but I need help Im mostly in the Salt a little bit of freash water I wanted to know if any body has longterm use of cleated felt boots in the salt and emerged on the rocks, do you think phelt will be better then rubber on the sand and slippery boiler rock cliffs please reply with insight about your experience in the field with the two choices of boots?
