COMMUNITY NOTICE: Due to reduced staffing, Lake Wohlford will be closed through the end of the year. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing you at the Lake next year.

Each month Whopper Contest winners in four categories are awarded a free fishing and boating permit. For information on the contest or fishing conditions, please contact the Ranger Station at (760) 839-4346. Can we say Locals only for the big fish winners! The same guy's keep winning! In November Mike Hernadez won for the biggest Catfish and Crappie. He didn't win for the Bass, that went to Justin Kennedy who won in both November and December for the biggest Bass. The gentlemen who won for the biggest Catfish in December is Marvin Morris. He was the guy who told us what the secret Catfish bait at Lake Wohlford is! Talk about a few people owning the lake for big fish honors! Lol
