Hit up the pier at 5:30 PM, no one fishing on the pier, picked up bunches of Macs, left at 7:30PM, only 2 other people fishing on the pier, kinda wierd. Used an old sabiki, couldn't keep them off the line, every cast catching them. Put out a live one for a hali or whatever, but no luck.
