View Full Version : El Capitan STATE BEACH in One Week?

We have reservations to camp at El Cap beach a week from today. If it's not on fire, I'm taking my gear.
Anyone ever fish there this time of year? I'll be taking spinning and fly rods.
As always, any wisdome is greatly appreciated.

Actually, I meant the El Capitan state beach, not the gigantic rock. But I can still stake picture and probably find something to fall off of..
Good luck. I went to Refugio earlier this summer and too much sea grass in the surf line. I heard that El Capitan is much better to fish.

If the salt is a little slow, lake cachuma is about 30 minutes away.
