Spent the last part of my vacation on a two day 976tuna trip on the O95. Fished Cortez Bank the first day for a lot of nice yellowtail, unfortunately, I could only manage to lose two. That night we motored down into Mexican waters for bluefin. At daybreak we got on a nice school and I managed this one around 30LB on the flat fall jig.

the shogun was the only boat out near guadalupe and there wasn't much happening except sharks
so we decided to head farther south towards mag bay and fish off the coast
plenty of 30 to 100lb yellowfin and lots of nice dodo's up to the mid 60's schooling
the 4 of us taged /re 23 spear carp including 1 nice blue maybe 400lbs

wahoo and cow blues were slim pickings

we hung a few big ones but no cigar got a 250 300lb right to the boat after 4 hours of the hand off before it snapped the hook a 14 o forged steel unit

weather was ok a little breezy ,water was from low to mid 70's
lots of red tide near the beach

so while not epic had a lot of fun
