The video was accidentally taken at OB pier on July 3rd, when newport beach was flooded.
The waves were huge in san diego as well, almost got over the pier even 2 hours before the high tide. Luckily OB has taller seawalls.
That is a good spot for surf species such as croakers. Not sure if they still bite with such strong waves.
