Does anyone know this? What company makes the smallest quality spinning reel?

And an issue is that 'quality' is relative. So is price.

I'd definitely look at the Soare CI4+ 500S if your budget isn't much of an issue:

That is a damn good-lookin' reel :)
although Stella FI is even better lookin'

I never liked the FI body.

I prefer this body:

And considering the Stella doesn't come in a 500 size, it makes me think that Shimano also thinks that using a Stella to chase light line quarry is like using a Lear Jet to go grocery shopping.
