Went to Skinner yesterday. Buddy says take his boat but I decline and opt for a rental. Threw everything I had in the tackle box for nada. We even took some chicken liver with no luck as well. Fished the inlet and the buoy line for not even a bite. All in all it was a great day on the water with my youngest daughter and most of all no work. Talked to a family and they caught one striper first thing in the morning and that was it on chicken liver.

I have not seen a decent fish report on Skinner in months. Not even the guys who fish it regularly.

I don’t fish skinner as much as a few of the regulars but I do my fair share of fishing at skinner. It’s like the light switch got turned off as it’s been a tough last few weeks my guess is the recent drop in temperature . I think when the fish accalamate to it the bite should pick up a bit . Good luck and if anything changes let us know .
