How do you use Pinched Crawlers ?

I've got green, orange and brown and have had no luck. I've tried using an Owner mosquito 8 or 10 ... and I thread the hook in from the top. Maybe it's not my setup but my method. I just Carolina Rig like I do with PBait, worms, et. al.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
