Selling this setup together, I maybe made 10 casts on this setup. I wanted to give baitcasters a shot but I just don't care for them. Purchased reel at walmart and rod I purchased at my local tackle shop based on recommendation. Asking $60 for both

Bait casters take time, practice and persistence to get comfortable using. I'd say if you never fish line heavier than 12lb they aren't a necessity but defiantly open up some options for throwing larger baits on heavier line. I'm sorry to hear your giving up on it. someone is going to get a sweet little combo for $50 though, i'd be tempted to buy it myself but i already have 2 of them and the wife might not be too happy with me if i did. I already spent my annual fishing budget.. and still 5 months to go....
