carp,

Nice drone shots.

Are there cost affordable drones out there that shoot at 1080?

That looks fantastic. Real winter wonderland there, great photos.

Define affordable :)
Seriously though, you can get a $50 drone, mount a $50 1080p action camera on it, and get decent shots. I've taken one up to the Eastern Sierras and grabbed some nice shots with it, here is an example

But, a $50 quadcopter is bare bones. No GPS stabilization, no auto return to home, no fancy "smart" features. Good one to practice with and beat up a bit before dropping some money on a more powerful drone
The most affordable, GPS-equipped drone that can either carry a GoPro or has it's own quality 1080p camera will run around $200.
The most popular model out right now is the Phantom series by DJI. Amazing quality, huge following. You can pick up a 3rd gen version (very good) for $300-$400.
The little quadcopter I filmed the snow video with, the Dobby pocket drone, costs around $350. It's awesome because it's so compact, but it's video quality is nowhere as good as a DJI phantom.

If you all are interested, here is another video I shot recently with the same quadcopter used in the snow video:

See if you recognize the location :)
