This is actually kind of a rebuttal to the fish report in the Press Enterprise report from Thursday 7/28 . I was out along with Fordman and NFCD, and a few others. The paper said great fishing on swimbaits and flies..... hahahaha. Not only did they not produce but neither did topwaters or anything else. The off-and-on boils never came up either. Of course tomorrow is another day and things may change but for us and old Striper AL the day before things were painfully slow.

John and I fished until 12:00. We fished top water for the first couple of hours then went to plastics for nothing. We came across several blue gills that had just spawned and were protecting beds. We picked up 5 for dinner. Like Pat said, tomorrow is another day. If you're not on the water, you probably won't be there when the lake finally turns on.
