I've caught and seen Blue ones, green ones, almost black ones, purple ones, silver ones, and pink ones, but I've never seen a red Bluegill before..
Actually this is not a Bluegill, it's another panfish called a Redspotted Sunfish that was caught down in Louisiana. Pretty common in the south but most are not this red. Very cool looking fish.
