Just looking at Googleearth and I see Balboa lake but further east across Woodley is a smaller body of water between Wood;ey and the freeway.
It was not there when I lived there 50 yrs ago. Anyone know anything about it?
It looks like the paths around it mean someone has been fishing it
Back when the LA river ran through the south end of the park and had bluegill in it.

Sepulveda wildlife preserve. No dogs /bikes/ fishing signs etx. Birdwatchers n joggers go by
Btw. La river is accessible thru balboa lake. Or walk across the street

Checked out that body of water years ago and there is NO fishing allowed there since it is a wildlife preserve. What I did notice is there are some huge carp in there.

tons of pleco in both balboa and the reserve.... water looks stagnant in reserve as opposed to balboa right not.. balboa has 2 foot clarity all along shore right now..; atleast balboa has parking and fishing close to ur car. reserve u have to walk about 5min thru brush and walkways.... ; lot of hiding places to get mugged or ???

they also seemed to get rid of all the resident rvs parked along Woodley

again no fishing in reserve and a few rangers do drive thru there.
