Has anyone recently fished this part of the Kern River above Kernville up near McNalley's and the Fairview Campground? We are thinking of going up there next week to camp and fish. I'm wondering about the flow of the river this time of year..

Check the flows on the kern river fly fishing site. http://blog.kernriverflyfishing.com/

(http://blog.kernriverflyfishing.com/)Flows are dropping. Remember, they have closed most of the dispersed camping along the river but the established camps like Camp james and fairview are open. Depending on how you fish, it's been good in places and ehhhhh in others.

Viejo.. Thanks, but I could not find the flows on the river on that website. I looked all over it, didn't see it. Could be lame me.. I'll check again. The bass fishing looks fun though..

This graph will be good for a few days:

Anything over 1000 and wading become sketchy up there, and grabbing an amazing burger from the McNalley's burger stand becomes first priority. And aren't those burgers absolutely delicious!?
