Went out yesterday 5/12. Only managed three 2 to 2 1/2 lbs fish on various plastics (hulu grub, senko, 6" TR) but that's ok. Had quite a few follow to the boat. Even had a rod with a swimbait hanging over the side and one came up and bit the tail. Saw a lot of fish and tons of old spawning beds which is a good sign. I could see the bottom in 10' of water. I have been fishing this lake for 40 years and it's been a long time (if ever) that its been that clear. Last few time was like 6" at most. Need to adjust tactics if it stays this clear. Water is high, one of the launch ramps is closed. A little different than most lakes that have launch ramps closed due to low water.
