I fished the outgoing tide this afternoon, the usual spot. Nice weather, little wind, tide moving good. I missed way too many fish today. I ended up with 5 bass.

The Bone was about 12" and fought hard, and pulled a little drag. Everything was caught with 8 lb fluro and bloody and camo Jerk Shads.

Bonefish...must be Newport...or are those things starting to spread out a little? Nice. That looks like a white croaker, not a yellowfin croaker in the pict...but a decent one at that. Beats a day at work! :)

Yeah, I'm stoked to see Bones being caught alot these days. Ive been getting them in HH for about 10 years now, never got one in Newport. I would always tell people that I caught a Bonefish there and they didn't really believe me. My Buddy got one a few weeks ago in San Diego Bay on a trolled crank bait. Oh, my kayak is pelican, sit in. Its way too small for me but its really lite, fits in my truck, and gets me to the fish. RUSSO
