Anyone caught any Redears or Bluegill yet? The big Redears should be spawning now.

that usually happens after the bass spawn. Should be in next couple of months.

Saw a few gills and Crappie caught over the last week . Redear not really up yet

No actually Mike, the Reds at LP should be spawning by now and will stay at it for a month or so. We've caught them fat and full of eggs in March.

I was out cruising the lake today and haven't seen any bluegill beds yet.

way to early for the gill beds , but as was said the Redear should be moving in soon to spawn .. last yr they spawned right outside of the bass beds

The Redears spawn out deeper than the 'Gills and even some bass. Usually you can't see their beds..

Hey Jeff, I fished the dock last week 3rd &4th. First time in a long while! I only caught one Male
BG on Thurs and saw another 4 BG caught(FRImorning) . Plenty of bass swimming around but not really wanting to bite. There were at least 25+ fishermen/women Fri. Thursday maybe 10 off and on during the day. I would say more bass caught, but I really didn't see everything going on. Seems the bite was tough for panfish. I hope to get back there next week and try again...
