I've noticed that they're coming out of the woodwork. .. the thread killers.
They don't like the topic; maybe the topic is stepping over a line, stepping on a toe or two, or might even just trip over itself! Haha.
The dreaded/helpful thread killer, they're out there.
Some threads do in fact need to be snipped out of the hem, how does one decide when appropriate or at what irritation level? to cut it short?

You couldnt round up people who actually like you with a gold fish net. Im glad Seal hit the nail on the head. And what do you do? You call him "numb nuts."
Apparently he has a net that you can't afford too.

of 3 (major) skirmishes and 2 minor.
1. someone criticizing fishermen for their "catch and release" techniques with false or imaginary data on the death rates of releasing bait caught trout (vs. lure caught trout).
when, finally confronted with "some" data that seemed valid; i get veiled threats of violence and called out to meet at Jenks Lake.
so, if my posts (in this case) ends a thread and i have to take the blame... well ok.

2. someone, secretly, recording other fishermen breaking the law at a lake; leading to a verbal confrontation at water's edge. the OP ultimately having to deal with the feelings of being disrespected (young vs. old). The chance to do what's right arises, with a game warden at hand; a decision is made to withhold the evidence (video) from the DFG officer, where, the secret footage is instead used to call out the young in this fishing Forum. all the while, the OP claiming to be a Good Stewart to sport fishing.
(this one took some digging to find the truth. seal, however (see above) was easy).
so, if my posts (in this case and the previous) kills a thread (but enlightens others as to the substance of the Op or the arguing poster)... well ok.

3. someone claiming to be a master debater, (who may or may not be, lol, seriously LOL!) and to being a reporter of irreproachable column and who obtains multiple valid sources before ever putting it out as the truth...

4. someone claiming to be slim and trim.
well, he's not, and that's a fact. but i will say he is the smartest ding dong of the bunch. he hides (which is good) and ignores my taunts (which is better).

no answer as to the degree the op is disliking an honest evaluation of said, net.

that's how i see it in my ability to kill a thread.

i missed this post...
if you read my other post, i could care less about the net.
i thought it was kinda cool (i have a cheap a zz folding fraybill?) even with all the flaws in the metal work.
and, no i wasn't molested in on or around a net as a young child...
thanks for your concern though!
