Abu Garcia 7000, it should cast a mile.

It looks like it would be a great crappie rod for dropping jigs down between tree branches.

It all depends on how the blank feels..the line rating has kind of confusing print on the blank...says line 2-5 oz. Was probally intended as a surf rod to cast from shore due to length and it does appear kind of whippy in the picture. If it has a whippy tip but some backbone...maybe fish 12-25 lb test. I have some old glass rods in poor shape probably from the early 60's judging by the graphics and they are super whippy, parabolic, and long...over 10 ft long. I can't imagine fishing heavier than 8-12 lb test with them. They would probably make nice rods to whip a minijig way out there for trout or perch.

Surf rod. I would look around for a used penn spinner in decent shape and fish 8-20# on it.
