Headed out with Gene and the boys to the backside with only 5 nets (3 old school nets and 2 of the new ones )
got there early and dropped the nets and went for a little ride till it got dark..........came back to the nets for the first pull and I'm fighting a sealion stuck in the net needless so say he stole all the bait.......it's amazing how the sealions can get the bait out of the cage even when you zip tie it shut .....go to the next net it's empty with no bait ........next one empty as well.......then it's time to pull the new conical style net and it's loaded with atleast a dozen bugs with about 6 keepers next one has about 5 with only one keeper so we decide to just fish the 2 new nets and forget about the old ones..drop them in the same spot and wait about 30 minutes then give them a pull and there loaded again.....these new nets are the shiat ......it's getting to be around 8pm so we do one more drop because the kids need to get to bed....pull them up and this time there not loaded with bugs, but there is about a 4 to 5 pounder in it to make up for it.
Anyways it was a nice night out....started out a little bumpy but smoothed out later.
Here's a few pics.
