Left CA for AZ in OCT of 2013. Did my homework prior to the move on bass waters and I was somewhat encouraged. After fishing the usual lakes for the past two years results have surpassed my expectations. Apache, Canyon, Saguaro, Roosevelt, and Bartlett feature good fishing with a variety of patterns bringing in 50 Fish days (day or night). Winter months are even incredible--as you could imagine. Night fishing (my fav) are what dreams are made of. As much as I miss back home, I don't know how I would have handled the drought and lesser fishing conditions. AZ has more than filled that possible void had I stayed. AZ was worth it.

Often overlooked by most but Arizona has great fishing opportunities. Night fishing is great and night fishing for big catfish with live bait can have monster rewards. Glad your enjoying it and great pics of brag fish I am envious. Great job.

Spring baseball is around the corner and Arizona State is close by. I love the Phoenix area my wife unfortunately does not like the summers.

Summers are brutal........indeed. One "con" that really sucks out here. Spring ball out here is incredible. The energy is great. Get to see my Angels out here too. But there is nothing like being able to fish as a long as you like out here on these waters. None of that off the lake at sundown crap.

Roosevelt is a good body of water....... gizzard shad issue in the lake though. And water level is way down. But it fishes good nowadays.

If any of you ever come out send me a PM--- learned some cool patterns out here-- spring to winter.

Haven't fished Havasu yet tho----on the menu.

CL Smoov..that is awesome. Got to love the 24 hour fishing. Got myself a $280 ticket last summer at Perris for fishing 15 minutes beyond closing. Fishing the fish of my life and got rolled up on. A warning..............The ranger would think nothing of it and gave me the business and a ticket and an old fashioned lecture on the state of the economy in Cali and how making employees wait around 15 minutes for me was break the bank.

Good fishing down there but come on up to Page and Lake Powell.
No limit stripers right now 50 a day is not a problem.
Lots of wiskerfish too! Bass? You want bass? Millions of smallies lots of bucket mouths.
Avoid holiday weekends when the rest of your neighbors come up and drive boats with beer flowing.
