Yeah that 102 brewery was kind of a land mark for me as a kid. I remember passing by the place all the time but cant remember what freeway it was.47259 102 beer is kind of like WD40 it took 40 times to get it right and it took 102 times for the beer,. Guess that's how they got their names.

The only NFL game I ever attended was the Raiders at the Coliseum back in (I think) 1983. Bought a beer, $5 for a 16 oz cup. It was expensive, it was Shlitz, and it was hot. And it was pretty bad.
No one in my family drank anything stronger than Pepsi so the only beer cans we ever saw were the ones my brother and I collected for fishing cash. Saw lots of Oly, a butt load of Coors and a few of those tin Fallstaff and Lucky Lager cans we had to throw back.

nice to see old pix like that! wall is long gone... its 5fwy broadway exit.. near county general hospital and SAN ANTONIO WINERY... both la landmarks.... look how skinny 5 fwy was.... for more similar era watch episodes of CHiPS which used 2 +210 fwys newly built in 80s and UP IN SMOKE cult classic cheech and chong highland park and 110 fwys... ; heck might as well go to Chinatown or eat at PHILIPPE'S if in the area. ...

I grew up grabbing a swig from my dads oly. Think it's gone now. What about hams and bush. Still find it up in the northwest.

I was born & raised close to the 102 brewery. This beer was inexpensive but I did not like the taste, BOOO. I am almost 75 and like my STEEL RESERVE. I drank a lot of beers pictured and had a good time partying in Bell, Maywood and Huntington Park :EyePop:.
