Thinking about doing some fishing this fall/winter around the areas of Delta, Havasu, Lake Roosevelt, etc. May go up to Sierras bu will probably just rent a boat seeing as those lakes are much smaller. Going to take my 17' CC boat. Probably stay a few days at each place. How do you guys secure or lock items such as.....Trolling Motor, electronics, rods/reels, ice chest, etc.? What about electricity for charging TM batts?

I am able to take my FF off, but my trolling motor only has a padlock that is part of the quick disconnect mounting bracket. And what do I do with an ice chest? Rods and reels I guess can come with me to hotel I guess.

What do all of you do?

Thanks

I put my boat in a dock at a marina and power is furnished. Five storage/rod lockers on my boat so stuff is locked away in them. Only the bow electronics is removed and stored. While my boat has a built in ice chest (small) I put a large ice chest under the flipping deck and it actually has room for two. Most marinas have trailer storage and for only around $10 more than the launch fee ($20) at the delta (Russo's Marina) you can moor your boat in a covered dock with power and store your trailer.

Thanks Devore. Where do you stay near Russo's? If I'm after Stripers, is Russo's my best bet for launching or are there other areas more conducive?

El Jefe If you have an RV or a tent you can stay at Russo's for a small fee as they have a camping area with power and water. Oh and you will also get a key to the restroom that also has showers. Donwn the road a bit is the Sugar Barge which also has RV/Camping spaces and rents RV's. http://deltarentalcenter.com/trailer-rentals/

The closest hotel/motel is in Oakley or Brentwood. Stayed at the Holiday Inn in Brentwood the last trip, Quality Suites in Oakley before that and had a motorhome at Russo's my first trip to the Delta.

The Delta is full of Stripers and they are everywhere. Look at this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZdNb_1uHoM

November is prime time on the Delta for Stripers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fi_INQn3z4

Devore, thanks for all the info! I do have a small 5er but can't tow both! Wish I could take both.
