Hey fellas. Just wanted to see how everybody is editing their Go Pro videos with music and such. I was given a Go Pro hero 4 by the wifee a year ago and have put it to some use in San Diego and a bunch of overnighters. I'm not really tech savy so I'm looking for an easy video editor where I can edit and add music to them. I'd be sharing them here on this site so if anyone has any input on what I should buy, please chime in. Thanks in advance!

You can get by with Windows Movie Maker. I did for awhile. But it's tedious, lacks features, and takes forever to render. I've switched to Cyberlink Power Director. Much better software. Here are a few videos I made using it...

Thanks Skyler. I'll look into those two you suggested. I'm looking for a software that's efficient and not tedious. So I guess Cyberlink will probably be better for me.

Cyberlink is great. I used that for a while. I actually liked the 7th edition better. The other option for your gopro is to use their editing app. Its a little slow too, but if have Mac you should be fine.

With Editing apps you have to play around with them. Use their free trial versions too. You have to find the right one that works for you. The sony one is top notch too

Warriormike, I tried the gopro app and it took way too long. I couldn't add my own music with that app. They had a couple of their own selection and that was it. Will look at the sony one as well. Thanks!

You can add music to the Go Pro app. Also as I mentioned its better to have a Mac for the app

Heres a video I did on the App

Dunno if you have a mac or PC, but on the Mac, using your basic iMovie application works well.

I've graduated to Final Cut Express since it is a bit more robust than iMovie.

If you're on a PC, can't help ya there.

This thread is dying, and I figured it's as good a place as any to post our YouTube vids. Here's my latest (adult language warning, lol)...

I have done a bunch with the GoPro editting software on both Mac and PC. One of my first attemps:

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I'm waiting on a buddy of mine to show me a few different software he has. If all else fails, I'll probably buy the sony software. I've read a lot of good things about it. After I make my first video, I'll post it up here.
