New found glorys scores HOG!!! + PB 9/4

Gonna keep this one short and simple. We had a great day... Love when the bonito are in the mix. I'll let the pics do the talking.

I started off with a nice legal and then Missed a huge bite. The 16" calico i had just caught barely pulled much drag. I was using 10lb mono because my other reel had been sanded. I keep casting and 15 mins later i get a huge hit. Peels drag for 5-7 seconds and pops off. It was another HOG! too bad. 10 mins later i hook up again lose a nice 18"+ fish... thinking you got to be kidding me. This one got stuck in some structure.i tried to let him loose and he shook off. I knew if i had my stronger line i would have not him get to that position.

After an insane battle on my lightline i get the fish to color and i freak at how big it is. Stay calm Sean, stay calm!!!!!

Hitting the Mirage out of CISCOS monday night for an overnight trip. Leaving monday night fishing tuesday. Hopefully some YT or tuna re biting! i've yet to catch my first YT or tuna. The swell is going to be up but my friend had a coupon for me so i was down.

Congrats on the two PBs Sean. Beautiful colors on those fish! By the looks of your background water the sesh was pre mega swell for sure. Now we are getting a pretty good whack in the hood which means everything will change dramatically!

the golden croakers are males. they become a brilliant golden color during spawning, which begins during late summer/fall.

Spotfin croakers are even more intense, males can be as colorful as a goldfish
