Hey everyone, I am going to be going out on a limited load 3/4 on sunday, and I need a bit of help selecting a rod from the ones I have available. Most of my gear was stolen, so I am sorta limited. I was able to buy a Okuma Cortez CZ-12CS reel. For rods I have a daiwa sealine graphite rod 6'6" rated 20-60lb, I have a californian rod 7' rated 12-30lb and I have a daiwa eliminator rod 7' 12-25lb. from what I understand they are chasing tuna and yellowtail. Thanks in advance! Oh and I will be just using straight Berkley big game 30 lb or 25lb izorline.

The 20-60lb diawa is what i would use for the tuna, 30lb or even 40lb line.
The 7' 12-30lb rod will work if the fish are small, it will cast better and get you more bites but you WILL lose fish.

Somewhere in the middle of the two would be ideal, like a 7' 25-50lb rod, but i figure you knew that hence the question of bigger or smaller.

I'd go bigger, buddy of mine got spooled on 30lb with spectra backing last weekend. never had a chance.
