My buddy Andy hit me up yesterday afternoon and asked me if I wanted to go try and get some local yellows. My buddy took the day off work and we made plans to meet up at his place at 6:45am since the yellows have been biting a little late. Meet up at 6:45 and off we went to long beach to launch, hit up nachos on the way out and he even let us pick out some good baits and hooked it up extra fat today. Got in the zone around 8am and right when we pull up we seen some crashing birds and my buddy's brother brails a net full of dines off the side of the boat and all of a sudden we have boils around the boat my buddy's brother hooks up first on a blue and white tady 45, than my buddy hooks up on a mint salas 7x now we have a double going within the first couple minutes of just pulling up then I reel my iron up and toss it in the direction where they got bit and say I'm going to make it a triple hook up and BAM! tripleee hooook uppp all on the iron it was bad A**! By the time we land all 3 fish the school had left and we motored around looking for more birds and boils. We pulled up on lots of diving birds and boils throughout the day and managed to hook 3 more yellows and lost 1. We ended the day going 5 for 6 and had a hell of a time! I've been fishing with my buddy since jr high and we use to slay the yellows all throughout high school together but it's been a long time since we've both been able to get out there together and get hooked up on a pair of yellows. We fished all over the 150 area following crashing birds 46404
