View Full Version : Late report - Beach in Two Harbor, Catalina

The action started when I saw these sharks roaming the beach.
Three leos bit my macks and broke 30lb braids so easily.
Third one was a real monster. It flew to the sea as if it was a great white.
My 30lb line was no match for that monster.

So I doubled up my leader.
After a while I saw three leos closing on my bait and this guy was the first one that got to it. :)

I fought over 10 min and finally saw the face of this beautiful leo which is over 50" long and broke my surf rod.

I wonder if I can catch any fish bigger than this anytime soon. :)

I really enjoyed your post. Awesome! I have never caught a shark before and hope some day I will. Your Leo Shark is nice size. Predator vs Predator!

Them sharks sure are pretty. :lol: Sorry about the broken surf rod. :(

Thanks guys. I'm more like a prey than a predator. :D It was an awsome experience. It felt like a bull dragging the line than a fish.
Hope to get some more pics in the near future. :D
