ok now that ive gotten your attention...lol

Going to Oxnard this weekend. We got a beach house, and i dont useally salt? Were to go? What to do? Lures? Bait?

I might go to casitas, or cachuma.For the salt i was thinking of bringing my bass rods? 6'6" Procaster, with a pfulinger pursuit? And a diawa 6'2" Medium. 10lbs and 8lbs. ANY HELP APPRICITAED.

I'm no pro at surf fishing, but haven't been skunked in VC for the last few times out. I've fished Silver Strand (by that power plant) a few times and hit on BSP and SNGF. Surf sinker, swivel, leader and squid-strip on a 1/0 has done the trick for me. I've also got bit on Gulp! Sandcrabs and the CSWs. My latest favorite spot has been the end of Seaward Ave. in Ventura. There's a liquor store about a block from the sand that sells squid. I buy bait there and fish the inside of the small rock jettys.

For better tips I'd try a VC surf regular like Cangler or Bones.

Go to ventura pier maybe youl catch something thats not a bass :lol: maybe i could go up for some surfing (surf fishing) i know some tactics
