Hello FNN members, here is my first report on this city lake. I don't fish this lake often but I hope some of you guys have fun reading this report :).

5/8
Went to the lake before I head home from work around 5:45pm. A cold front came in, cloudy and 10mph winds, some sprinkles from time to time. Water was warm, maybe around 75ish. I used a creature bait, for no luck, then switched to a 3" dropshot light purple custom minnow like lure i made and wanted to test it out. I got hit hard and brought in a 3~4lber.

Met Andy who kindly took my picture and shot this pic.

Took off around 6:40pm home.

I worked until 1:00pm and headed to the lake,
Sky was clear, no wind, but the water was a little colder than before.
Set up a dropshot and fished on the east side area.

I self shot this 2~2 1/2 lb bass

Called it quits around 2pm to take my daughter to her piano class.

Woke up around 5ish, folded the laundry, cleaned the house and around 6am decided to go Legg Lake. Wrong turn and headed to Lincoln Park, lol. Oh wells, I set up the dropshot rod again and hit the lake. No one was there to my surprise, just a fellow local angler fishing for catfish.
Cast a robo MMIII and get a light tick on the line, lower my rod and set the hook. This time the line is peeling off my reel, going east, then deep, then west on the shore towards the other angler. He jumps giving me a glimpse of its size, I can't make out the size, but looked like the same fish i caught on Friday. I was so WRONG... I get her to the shore, and I see the mouth is twice bigger than the last one. I take it out of the water, I am jumping of excitement, but wishing i should be carrying my scale :(. Either way, the other angler offers to take a picture for me and I set my cool pose. I estimate the fish to be a 30LBer hehehehe.

Did you camp at the lake, or did you spend your weekend at the 5 star Lincoln Park "No Tell" Motel, or equally lovely Marengo Inn?
