My buddy and I went out for a nice little Calico noon session and put this small edit together. Huge swells, big waters and luckily
a good day of fishing. A good pair of sea legs were a must! We landed over 50 within 6hrs

Very impressive, that first part of the video was like The Victory at Sea,didn't seem to bother the checkers though, they were definitely on the chew!
Very cool vid, Thanks!

I'd like to see what a 3/4oz flipping jig with a craw trailer would pull of the wall...

The wall is at it's best with that swell. Creature baits catch fish at the wall but aren't the best choice you will lose a lot of them. You would definately need more than 3/4 oz for the lb wall or you won't catch anything because you won't be able to stay on the bottom

That looks like some serious Bassin right there. Kudos to ya sir!

A buddy of mine and I hit the inside break wall recently and grabbed a bunch of rats and I kept telling him that the bigger models were on the outside! It was flat that day too...LOL

We were out there again yesterday for a morning session and here ya go. On a 3/4 once football w craw trailer . Every calico we caught on jigs were at least 1.5lbs
and up to 2.5 Most of my fish came from 4 and 5" hammers in 30ft+

Made a quick stop before going home to try to get that trifecta (calico, sand, spot). Was not a keeper size but the right species =)

I appreciate you humoring me. I guess it being dark really does make all the difference . Don't mind me I'm just jealous that I don't get to fish but once a month or so. Nice going... Take Me With You....:Envious:

Great Video! Thanks for sharing. What rod are you using? Seems to have perfect action for that.

That's a lot of fish Bro!
I guess the 14" rule is not looking that bad after all.

Yup that's how I feel about the two rods I use out there. I don't like broom sticks so these r great. They both have that nice soft tip with a good backbone.
Both rods are 'Daiwa Ballistic'

Med/Heavy 7' 6 (my tw rod) with a curado 206 40lb braid on 30lb flouro leader and the one I use around the kelp beds/patties
Heavy 8' (my A rig rod) Lexa 300 7.1 Straight 30lb Flouro

Fun stuff
