They're dried out by-the-wind-sailors, Velella velella. It's a hydrozoan, not quite a true jellyfish but close...they were all over the beach at Carpinteria last week.

Hi ya fishshep,

The good news, the bad news :Skunk: and the ........ hydrozoan, almost jelly! (the Ugh).

So ..... you didn't have any luck tossing out the sand crabs? Hmmmmm.
Lately I've noticed that the hungry Corbina's have been attacking the LC's regularly ... probably because they are a bit sand crab deprived.

I believe that those sand crabs in your hand may be the fist that I've seen this entire season ..... GREAT sign! Yahoo!
Next follows the bait fish and then the predator fish .... let's all hope!

Heck .... we may still have an excellent late Spring bite on our hands! Fingers Crossed.

Thanx for the sand crab Intel!

The "Title" kinda reminded me of the old Clint Eastwood movies .... made me want to lite up a Seaguar (get it? lol) and fan cast at the nearest deep trench ... with the
theme song to "The good, The bad and the Ugly" ... playing in the back ground!

PS .... I recognize that sand! :Thumbs Up:
