The weather was pretty rough on opening day,,,, cold, windy and snowed for about 4 hours in the Rock Creek/Crowley area.... Crowds were very light.... French Camp in Rock Creek had about 30 empty sites for the opener.....We had about 3 inches of snow Saturday......Fishing was slow and the Upper Owens was terrible.....I caught 2 fish in 8 hours of fishing, but they were about 2 1/2 pound cutthroats. and never had one bite on Sunday.... Everyone I talked two on the the Owens all said they fished for hours and never had a bite...Weather on the river was cold and windy.

The report from Crowley Marina was a disappointing opener ... because of the weather ... and low fish count.
Had to be a TOUGH morning
Sounded like the trollers did well
