Went out on the Amigo out of Ventura yesterday and caught a fair amount of yellowtails, biggest being 36 lbs and all others hovering around 30. The captain was great and the young and energetic crew did a great job keeping the tangles to a minimum and maximizing our landings. We hit Santa Cruz island up and the usual hot spots where we spotted the fish on the top crashing some schools however most if not all fish were caught near the bottom. Yo-Yos of the blue varity were the big ticket, mine was on a tady blue chrome with a lexa 400 and graphtech rod. Can't wait for the summer!!
