hot laps with stripers only and bullhead too 4-11

We got on the water around 7:30 am. Trolled around and picked off a few stripers to start the morning. The wind was blowing good for most of the day. Later in the afternoon we went looking for a bass bite but found some bullhead. The red anus specials they were. I guess they are spawning. Rolled that up to motor around a bit. Hooked up one more time before we headed in. Total of 5 stripers for the day the biggest being about 3 pounds. Conditions on the water less than desirable. But the conditions in the boat were great! Thanks Bob!

If that was you with T/O, I was the one in the olive colored kayak.
Too much wind.
Pedaled my a** off for 2 stripers and a smallmouth
Covered 9 mi. of water and half of it was going upwind :EyePop:

Had plans to launch out of Vaquero Beach but was told that the sheriff said no more because there were too many rules being disobeyed, so I had to launch from the main ramp. Too far from my original planned spots, given the conditions

I bet you did paddle your butt off! We saw out there. And when the wind was really blowing I was like oh man that dude in the kayak ! If you went for a work out you got it! Nice job on your catches! It seemed rough for everyone we encountered.

It was nice meeting you on Saturday.
We all got beat up by that weather but at least everybody caught a few.

Nice report, the wind makes it tough, at least it was warmer today! Plus you got to fish with the master! Sounds like a lot of fun....................Dave

Was good seeing everyone out there. We ended up with 3 striper with one at 4.5# but threw in the towel from the wind at 10am when it was clear the the bite was off and conditions not so fun.

thanks for braving the day howard , at least we caught some stripeys and cats. I thought for sure you would get some action in the glory hole ,it might have been too many tourney boats moving thru there ,before we had are spin thru it. I fished with feelthesteelgary yesterday ,I told him about youre thing for the lmb . he says he will give you a lesson at the Castaic lagoon , and drop a bombload of true catch lmb info on you.......bob...........
