Shimano rod warranty

As I posted my last tread, my shimano rod snapped while I was fishing last weekend wasn't sure if warranty will cover the rod so I send it in 2 days ago and got a call this morning from shimano,was told that rod is on its way with no question asked,now that's what the customer service is all about,now I'm ready to hit the surf,just want to share

$17.95 I send it by usps got there in 2 days

Did you used one of them long cardboard rod tubes?

Yes, tackle shop I got the rod from gave me the tube @ no charge
