Hamilton?
We prefer to not have crackheads on our team.

Looks like someone found their crack pipe again. (Which means he'll soon find Jesus thereafter and talk down to other crackheads.)

Apparently, a trade for Hamilton already involves an 8 Ball in return.
Great contract!

I'd be OK with it (smoking crack) if it made him actually be able to hit the damn ball again.

I'm a long time Halos fan and that Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim thing pisses me off. I don't think you'll find one true Angel fan that this post will offend.

Kind of hoping they suspend him for the year. I love Artie, but Hamilton and Pujols were horrible signings. He needs to let the baseball guys make the baseball decisions.

If suspension means Artie doesn't have to pay him, then I'd be sending Hamilton on a one way trip to Cartegena and hoping for the uh, best, for the organization.
I'm glad someone else thinks those contracts were ludicrous.

Ludicrous is an understatement Dark.
At least Pujols got at little work in last year.

Hamilton's working on something I guess.
It is kinda hypocritical the way management is trying to throw him under the bus, though.
As CJ Wilson said (http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12674286/cj-wilson-los-angeles-angels-defends-teammate-josh-hamilton), "If Josh was hitting .300 with 35 home runs a year, what's the situation?"

Angels Manager Mike Scioscia came away from a meeting with Josh Hamilton with a feeling of "frustration" that the outfielder is not getting enough help and support after suffering a substance abuse relapse that has triggered an ugly dispute with the team.
"We feel that there's really no clarity that he's getting the help he needs," Scioscia said in an interview with MLB Network Radio on Friday morning.
Um, Mikey...perhaps management shouldn't be throwing Hamilton under the bus. Perhaps the first area he should be looking for help and support is his own employer?
You know, I liked Mike Scioscia when he wore Dodger Blue and there was a time that I was pissed we didn't get him as a manager. But after seeing his managing style, and the comments he makes above, I'm starting to think the Angels did us a favor by hiring him.
I mean, he's one of the managers in baseball that still calls every pitch. The last time I saw that was in high school. No confidence in your own catcher who manages your pitching staff?
Angels hired 2 individuals to "watch" Hamilton. You want them to have somebody stand by and help him wipe after his constitutional's? I think Arte is a bit PO'd that his huge financial investment has been a bust, seems to me that was his fault and now he's trying to save whatever he can from that ridiculous contract for an obviously troubled individual.
I am getting concerned with Scioscia but hey he was good enough to take 2 of 3 and tied the last one from the great and almighty Dodgers during the freeway series. I'll wait till after this season plays out, but I do think Scioscia might be a bit of an antique at this point.
For your reading enjoyment.

A couple stats for you DS
Mike Trout
HR's 3
Avg 444
Yasiel Puig
HR's 2
Avg 222
Yea I know Dodgers have a better record but once the Angels let the drug addict play again they'll go undefeated the rest of the year! I think a little coke is what's been missing from Hamilton's daily routine, I'd hook him up with Puig I'm sure he has some contacts.

Regarding Pujols though, it's good to see him playing better the past few years after plantar faciaitis.
I saw his grandkids were at the game the other night, it must be cool to see their grandpa smash a few out before he retires

Yes a pleasant surprise and seems to be one of the good guys.
And I'm pissed about losing Kendrick! Always liked him.
Got a call from a marketing girl from the Angels yesterday. Very nice call no pressure just asking about my experiences at the games. Since I left that area years ago I only go to one or two games a year was amazed to get a call. They must be concerned about attendance or maybe trying to do a little customer relations work after the National anthem dealio came out recently.

I'd drive 120 too after a line the size that he's blasting on that photo!

Hope the Angels also got a sub-contract with Geritol so that when they're still paying Pujols when he's 42, you can make some money back.

Of everything going on in this photo shop attempt. It's definitely the fanny pack that gets me every time.

Didya hear Anaheim still has a team?
Uniforms and everything!
The fact that the Astros who got kicked out of the NL for being horrible, are leading the pack in the AL West, goes to show you that Anaheim still has a chance! (Even though they're a game under .500)

They started worse than this last year and if my memory serves me correct, had more wins than "any" other team in baseball, including your "dreaded" Doyers...lol
The fact that they both went down in flames in the first round doesn't mean anything does it?

Cmon Team!
We got orange slices and juice boxes.
They were on fire a prior to the all star break. It's a long season. Better question is why does Puig, the Doyers Mike Trout, have a mediocre at best 250 something batting average and only a handful of HR's?

I think Mike Trout has more than a "mediocre" .250 and an "handful" of HRs.
I'm surprised we made him look that silly this weekend.

No I think Trout is around 310 or so with 32 HR's.. But wasn't Puig supposed to be the Mike Trout rival? Anyways it shows you that there is a serious problem with the Angels when they have 2 players back to back in the lineup with 60+ HR's and still struggling in a division that is not exactly one of the best in the league.
I wouldn't doubt that Trout's wrist is not healed and he came back too early. Expect a possible stay on the DL list, I'm a bit worried about that and now that Wilson is likely out for the season, well just not good news after what looked to be a resurgent team just a couple weeks ago. Weaver being out hasn't exactly helped either.

I try not to get into ESPN-esque headlines. In a weight room, perhaps he could be a rival.
Unfortunately, baseball requires a brain. Puig, has none. Thus, we know where the "rivalry" is headed.

Cmon! Houston is HOT. Seattle is a proverbial contender!
Then again, baseball is played with 9 players, not two guys named Pujols and Trout.
