Elite 7 manual says a hard return is a wide yellow area, however, most people say bright red is hard bottom. Could someone please educate me on this matter. Obviously I'm new to the color world of graphs. thanks

I did some on the water adjusting today. The first thing I did was set my colorline at 58% which was previously 64%. The later percentage was giving me too much yellow, hence colorline too high. Adjusted to 58% gave me a wider range of colors. I went over bottom depths that I could see the bottom visually and compared this to what I saw on the Elite 7. I found on a hard bottom with rocks on top, the structure (bottom) shows bright yellow and the rocks (cover) show red, as well , so do dense bushes. I could even see thin greenish blue line on top of rocks which I believe was the thick algae. In turn when I went over hard bottom no rocks I was receiving a wide yellow return. Thanks again!
